This is the first draft of this beach and rocks setting.
This is a painting without even getting out the palette.

This one was painted plein air and has not been finished yet.
I added some metallic paint to enhance the sand.
I still have to say that I love the organic feeling that flows when I paint flowers.
A little special touch to the mat.
The next step to the rocks and waves.
Two painting on view at a local restaurant.
I will get some mileage from this lighthouse.  Lots of paintings from this view.
Here is one I have done of the coconut trees that so enamored me on my last vacation.  I tried to capture the wind in the palm fronds.

I took this and many other shots of the coconut trees in hopes of painting them and have one in progress. I will post its progress as soon as i get a picture of it and get it to my album. It is a real rush to interpret my photos into paintings.

This was a commission that I finished but not in time for the one who commissioned to see it. She fell ill and passed away before seeing it. It was meant for her son and was still given to him for a Christmas gift.

One of my favorite people.  I think that I have captured him fairly close to what he looked like on that day.

I have not drawn in some years and I have never drawn a portrait like this. It must be the subject that  gets such good results.

I have never met this young lady but knew her mother as child and friend of my children.  This young lady was a delight to capture.

2012 a new year

I always have a work in progress that will be flowers of some kind.  I am even liking the technique of a half finished painting.. It leaves the viewer to imagine the finished work.
